AHS PTSA - Partners Together Supporting Atholton

Wondering how to support your AHS student?  Want to contribute in a meaningful way?  Please consider joining one of the many committees listed below.  Contact information can be found on the Contacts page.

After Prom Committee: Plan fun events to keep students safe during the night of the Prom.

Citizen Advisory Committee:  represent AHS at monthly meetings of this county-level committee. 

Cultural Arts: schedule performances from the areas of the Arts which compliment the county's curriculum and enrich the educational experience. 

Driver's Education:  provide access to Driver's Education courses for our AHS students.

Grocery Receipts: educate the community about various grocery receipt programs, encourage participation/enrollment and facilitate the collection of funds made available to the school community from various grocery stores.

Hospitality: provide hospitality for select AHS PTSA sponsored events.

Membership:  build an informed active membership that supports the Mission, objects, policies, and programs of the local, state and national levels of PTA.

Newsletter:  gather information and publish a monthly newsletter from the AHS PTSA.

Parents on Patrol (POPS):  The only program of its kind in the entire county!  Committee chair solicits volunteers to monitor the halls during lunch shifts.  We need two volunteers for each school day.

Publicity - 'Raider Raves':  update the student calendar in the lobby with information about clubs, after-school activities, in-school events, and other important dates.

Reflections: encourage and coordinate AHS participation in the National PTA-sponsored Reflections Program.

School Improvement Team (SIT):  represent PTSA on this school-wide committee for meeting county and school  goals for achievement.

Snack Shop: provide a variety of snacks to the students of AHS every school day afternoon, with the exception of early dismissal days, at a reasonable cost while still making a profit.

Staff Appreciation:  provide treats and meals for the AHS staff throughout the school year.  

Student Directory: publish an AHS student directory.

Student Relations: co-sponsor a career night with Student Services (Guidance).
