Conferences
Parent/teacher conferences will be held on November 23 (5-7:30pm), November 24 (12-2:30pm & 5-7:30pm) and November 25 (7:30am-2:30pm). Please be aware that teachers offering evening conferences may not be available for Wednesday conferences and visa versa. Our school will be using a web-based application called pickAtime to schedule parent/teacher conferences. Parents with internet access will be able schedule their parent/teacher conferences from N0v. 16 at 7 a.m. until Nov. 23 at Noon, by going to https://www.pickatime.com/client?ven=11601661
In order to access this program, you will need your child’s student ID number. This ID number can be found in the upper right-hand corner of the student’s report card under their name. Unfortunately, a student ID number cannot be given over the telephone. Therefore, if you do not have your child’s Student ID number, you or your student must go the Student Services Office at Atholton to get it.
This program is easy to use and can be accessed at your convenience. After Nov. 23, please cancel or reschedule your appointments by calling 410-313-7065. If you do not have internet access, please call our school to schedule your conferences beginning November 16 at 7:00am until November 23 at noon.Directions on how to use this program can be found on our school’s web site by downloading the file “Parent Directions for Using PickATime.” A demonstration of pickAtime will be aired on HCPSS TV (Channel 95-Comcast, Channel 42-Verizon) during the November Parent Teacher Connection show. Starting November 7, it will be aired every Sunday at noon and 10:00 pm, every Wednesday at 7:00 pm and 10:00 pm, and every Saturday at 3:00 pm. This broadcast can also be viewed or downloaded from the Howard County Public School web site www.hcpss.org or HCPSS TV web site www.hcpsstv.com.

AHS PTSA Announces "Above and Beyond" Awards Program
All students and families are invited to submit names of any AHS staff that they would like recognized for going "Above and Beyond" in their work at AHS. These are individuals that have made a difference to the student or family. The winner of each category is based on receiving the greatest # of votes/nominations. The winner in each category will win a $100 gift card.

Please nominate/vote for one person in each category below. Please send your nominations/votes via e-mail to: Becky Joyner at bjoynerhome@aol.com. Nominations will be accepted until 5/15/2008 and the winners will be announced in June. Include the name of the nominee, and you may optionally include a paragraph about how this person went Above and Beyond.
