We've Got Mail!
Sometimes, we also get personal notes that let us know how special the AHS community really is:A guest at our Homecoming festivities writes: I was very impressed with the behavior of your students and team at the game and noticed the hard work you completed on the athletic facilities. It looked great! I look forward to future athletic events at AHS.
Stan Ber, sports columnist for the Columbia Flier, writes on October 16: The times that I have visited Atholton High School for various functions, I have found that the school…knows how to do things right. On October 11, the school hosted its first Hall of Fame luncheon…. Prior to the luncheon, the Raiders’ band entertained residents at the Sunrise of Columbia retirement community. Then, followed by more than 100 Junior ROTC members, the band marched back to Atholton’s parking lot… It was just the right touch at the right time and all those involved in putting it on should be congratulated.
A note from the River Hill Music Boosters President to Mr. Posner, AHS band director: I would personally like to thank you and the Atholton High School Marching Band for the tribute that was shown to [our community] at the football game last night…. I can personally say that of all of the schools that the pep band has come to that I have been at, Atholton remains alone at the top in hospitality and in providing a welcoming environment for not only the pep band but the entire RHHS community. My hope is that this camaraderie will continue for many years to come.
