It's Staff Appreciation Time at Atholton
Each December, on behalf of all AHS families, the PTSA serves a catered
lunch to our fantastic AHS staff to show them how much they are
appreciated. This year’s lunch will be catered by Nora Cafe on Friday,
December 18. We know this is a busy time of year, so rather than
asking for food contributions, we’re asking for cash donations. All
families who contribute will be recognized on a large card to our
staff. Please consider sending a donation (any amount) to support this
scrumptious effort. We’d like to receive contributions by December 11,
2009, and contributions can be made in one of two ways:1. By credit card or PayPal (because we are only provided the name on your credit card or paypal account, please let us know who we should acknowledge by filling in the "Who We Should Thank" field below if that is different):
2. By check – checks, made payable to AHS PTSA, can be mailed to:
Susan Bottomley, 6308 Velvet Path, Columbia, MD 21044
or
Jhana Shimizu, 7113 Morning Light Trail, Columbia, MD 21044
If you have questions, please contact Susan (410-531-2176 or bottomley1@verizon.net) or Jhana (410-531-8085 or jhana.shimizu@gmail.com). As always, thank you for your support!

One of Atholton High School’s oldest and most enjoyable traditions,
Homecoming Breakfast, will be held on Saturday, October 24th, 2009.
Last year more than 350 people enjoyed a wonderful pancake breakfast;
however it does take a large number of volunteers to carry on this
tradition. If you would like to be a part of this long standing Raider
tradition please volunteer to help. Contact Teresa Wasil at teresawasil@comcast.net

Re-Register for Bonus Dollars and Raise Money for your School!
BLOOM has joined the School Bonus Dollar Program! Do It Now: Get out your grocery store cards and click on the following links to help us raise money for our school! You must re-register your Giant, Safeway, Food Lion and Harris Teeter cards every year to keep those dollars flowing to Atholton High School. The school really counts on these donated funds to be used at Ms. Leonard’s discretion for items the school board is unable to fund. Please go to the stores’ websites to re-register at www.giantfood.com (Atholton’s school code number is 01004) and www.escrip.com for Safeway (Atholton’s school code there is 6471163), www.foodlion.com (AHS Code: 14849), www.harristeeter.com (school code 7099), and Bloom (AHS Code: 01333).
It would also be very helpful to have friends and family around the region designate Atholton High School with their grocery cards. Thanks so much for taking the time to participate in this program. It costs us nothing and the school reaps significant rewards!
If you prefer to turn in your sign up form at the store or via the mail, the the forms are available below.
